Who’s in the pack?
After graduating from Rose Bruford College as an actor musician, Carolyn has worked as an actor in theatre, film, radio and television for over 25 years. She has worked with a number of highly respected theatre directors including the Tony Award-winning John Doyle, the ‘national children’s dramatist’ David Wood; Laurie Sansom, now director of Northern Broadsides; Philip Howard (Dundee Rep). Carolyn has toured nationally, experiencing small scale touring as well as visiting many of our regional repertory theatres and into London’s West End. Most recently she played Grannie & Wolfrick in Nottingham Playhouse's Little Red Riding Hood and you can see her in the Netflix production of Lockwood & Co.

Carolyn also works as an associate Business Actor for a number of training consultancies. She works across a range of industry sectors, delivering innovative training as part of a team. She brings organisations to life in the training room using a number of drama-based techniques. Some of these include; role-play, real-play, forum theatre, interactive workshops, devised scenarios, business simulations/assessments and conference theatre.
Carolyn has a passion for storytelling and connection. She has developed several workshop performances for people living with dementia. Using storytelling, music and song she takes people on a journey in their own imagination to engage with all the senses.
Alan trained at Guildford School of Acting and went on to perform in many UK Tours and West End shows, as well as experience in film, whilst also working as a Director and Choreographer in his own right on productions such as School of Rock for Andrew Lloyd Webber, events such as Naomi Campbell's 'Fashion for Relief' (for London Fashion Week), Selfridge's Centenary celebrations, 'That's Entertainment' for Harrods and various pantomimes and Theatre In Education projects.

Alan has also taught and run departments and courses in most of London's top theatre schools and colleges such as the Sylvia Young Theatre School and ArtsEd
Alan is now known as 'the theatre coach' - working with and mentoring young people into and through the industry with a focus on mindset and transferable skills. Alan also still regularly teaches in London and Manchester, as well as international clients online.
Elizabeth is passionate about the arts, theatre and acting, and believes it connects us as human beings, and has the potential to improve and change lives.
Elizabeth trained at Rose Bruford College of Speech and Drama as an Actor-Musician. Since then, the highlight of her career so far was being nominated for Best Actress in 'The Stage Awards for Acting Excellence’ in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, for her outstanding performance as Betsy Loveless in Townsend Theatre Productions' 'We Will Be Free!’, the story of the Tolpuddle Martyrs.

Elizabeth has toured all over the UK, and has worked at many of our regional theatres including Derby Theatre and Nottingham Playhouse, and with Northern Broadsides at; Leeds Playhouse, York Theatre Royal, Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse, New Vic Theatre (Newcastle-under-Lyme), Oxford Playhouse, Everyman Theatre Cheltenham, Oldham Coliseum, The Rose Theatre (Kingston upon Thames), Dukes Theatre (Lancaster), Viaduct Theatre (Halifax), Lawrence Batley Theatre (Huddersfield), and Stephen Joseph Theatre (Scarborough). She has also toured extensively in community theatre, with companies such as Mikron Theatre Company and The Rude Mechanical Theatre Company.
A qualified personal trainer and fitness instructor, Elizabeth enjoys running and yoga.
With a love for exploring how the physical can impact wellbeing, Elizabeth is currently completing a postgraduate qualification in Dramatherapy.
Catherine Davies
Being an experienced Management Accountant, Finance Manager and Bookkeeper gives Catherine a varied skill set supporting the Finance function of Ginger Dog.
Her local voluntary roles give her a solid understanding of the benefits the arts can bring to all of Newark’s communities.
And of course, keeping everyone right is one of our glorious GINGER DOGS.
